Our KTV review editorial policy
This KTV review editorial policy explains how KL KTV Guide chooses venues, checks facts, scores rooms and corrects mistakes.
1. Venues are listed by area, never by who pays
Any legitimate KTV lounge in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor can appear on this site. However, it must have a real street address and show signs of operating, such as recent posts or current listings. Order on area pages follows our editorial score, not payment. We do not sell featured slots, badges or higher scores.
2. How we check facts
We check addresses and opening hours against at least two independent sources. Prices come only from sources we can cite, for example a published rate card, an official promotion post or a menu. If we cannot confirm a price, the page says “Ask venue”. In addition, every venue page shows the date we last verified it. Prices older than 60 days carry a reminder to confirm with the venue.
3. How the KTV review score works
Our score from 1 to 5 weighs five things: value for money, rooms and sound, service, location and access, and consistency of public feedback. It is an editorial opinion. Because we do not collect user ratings, we never publish an aggregate star rating for any venue.
4. Pros and cons, always
Every review lists strengths and weaknesses. For instance, a premium lounge may have the best sound in town but a minimum spend that rules it out for small groups. We would rather tell you that up front.
5. How we describe nightlife venues
The KTV lounges we list are adult nightlife venues for guests aged 18 and above. We describe them factually, based on what venues publicly advertise. We do not publish suggestive content, and we make no claims about services beyond what a venue openly lists. These lounges do not suit children, and each venue page states its age rule where the venue publishes one. Our guide to what is KTV explains how a lounge night works.
6. Photos
We use venues' own photos, or freely licensed images from sources such as Wikimedia Commons. Illustrative images carry an “illustrative” label and never stand in for a specific venue. Venue owners can ask us to swap or remove a photo at any time.
7. Corrections under our KTV review editorial policy
Every venue page has a “Report outdated info” link. When a reader or venue sends a correction, we check it and update the page, then refresh the “Last verified” date. We fix significant errors as soon as we confirm them. You can also contact us directly, read more about KL KTV Guide, or see our privacy policy.
